22 Weeks Pregnant with Baby #3

How Far Along: 22 Weeks

Baby's Size:  Spaghetti Squash

Maternity Clothes: For sure! Regular t-shirts are almost too small for me.

Movement: Sometimes I can see him move from the outside. I can feel him getting bigger and stronger.

Sleep: Great

Symptoms: Still some lingering nausea but not too bad. Never energetic. It is hard to face the fact that this is as good as it's going to get, since I will get bigger and more uncomfortable from here on out. I have never felt great this pregnancy. Still, I am thankful I haven't had any big issues or any medical issues thus far.

Food Aversions/Cravings: Same things. Milk and cereal, popsicles/slushies, and also salad with oil and balsamic vinegar. Lots of vinegar.

Best Moment this Week / Baby Prep Progress: Being in Red River, NM with Greg's family for vacation all of last week! That is why there was no 21 week update. I started to paint Cambry's headboard this weekend and will finish it up this week. I also ordered a cute car seat canopy. Not really necessary but a nice thing to have and it was really cheap.

What I miss: Feeling normal and having energy.

What I am Looking Forward to: 3 Day weekend coming up this weekend and finishing Cambry's bed.

Another Random List

1. We celebrated Greg's birthday a few days early on Saturday. I made breakfast, then we went out to run a few errands. After lunch Greg opened his gift and we had birthday cake. Cambry and I made him a beach cake and she had so much fun making and decorating it. She was very excited to show him.

That night we had a babysitter watch the girls while we went out. We ate dinner at Zelco Bistro then walked around Whole Earth Provisions. It is such a fun store to browse. We ended up buying a number of small things for the girls for our upcoming vacation with Greg's family. We will have a 2 hour flight and a 3 hour drive. Not too bad but it's always nice to have a few new things to help keep the kids entertained. My mom always gave us goodie bags on our vacations (we drove for days) and I loved it.

2. Cambry is doing her weekly swim lessons. We have had 4 lessons and lesson 3 was the first and only one without tears. I really hope she starts to feel more comfortable. I hate to make her do something she doesn't like but I want her to learn how to be safe in the water. She is always happy at the end but at the same time she tells me she doesn't like it.

3. I am back to cooking dinners now that I am not horribly nauseous anymore. But I feel like I have forgotten what to cook. I have plenty of recipes on Pinterest or other places but I somehow feel tired of them all. Maybe I am just tired! Where is that second trimester energy? It is non existent.

4. Lainey is such a cutie. The other day she was watching Peppa pig like this. She didn't stay like that too long but it cracked me up. Then today I found her in our room chilling on a pillow. You know, just relaxing.

5. We are not very close to picking out a boy name. Ahhh it is so hard.

20 Weeks Pregnant with Baby #3

Lainey left, Cambry right

How Far Along: 20 Weeks

Baby's Size:  Banana

Maternity Clothes: Maternity clothes and a mix of dresses.

Movement: I feel him move every day and the kicks are getting stronger. Greg was finally able to feel him move too.

Sleep: Great. Always a bathroom trip though.

Symptoms: Still feeling a little nauseous in the evening and even sometimes during the day but not too bad. I hardly ever feel good though. My stomach is already starting to seem big and uncomfortable. I hate to sound like such a complainer, but this pregnancy has been more challenging than the others.

Food Aversions/Cravings: Same things. Milk and cereal, popsicles/slushies, and also salad with oil and balsamic vinegar. Lots of vinegar.

Best Moment this Week / Baby Prep Progress: Greg and I went out to celebrate his birthday on Saturday and it was fun to have a date night. I ordered a cute bonnet type hat for baby boy for some newborn pictures. We also bought a twin bed headboard on craigslist for Cambry (it needs to be painted). I consider getting the girls' shared room ready part of baby prep since it is a necessary step.

What I miss: Feeling normal.

What I am Looking Forward to: I have the big anatomy scan tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing little one move around.

19 Weeks Pregnant with Baby #3

Here are my other 2 pregnancy pictures to compare to . Whoa my belly is looking huge. It is feeling huge too.

How Far Along: 19 Weeks

Baby's Size: Mango

Maternity Clothes: Maternity clothes and a mix of dresses.

Movement: I feel him move every day and the kicks are getting stronger.

Sleep: Great. Always a bathroom trip though.

Symptoms: Still feeling a little nauseous in the evening but not too bad. I do have this crummy weak feeling often, but it is different from the nausea. I hope it goes away eventually because it makes it hard to do stuff. I have to sit and lay down often.

Food Aversions/Cravings: Same things. Milk and cereal, popsicles/slushies, and also salad with oil and balsamic vinegar. Lots of vinegar.

Best Moment this Week / Baby Prep Progress: Well we have had a rough past week. Lainey was sick for a few days so we only got to go to one day of music class and missed the next 2. Then we went to Waco for the weekend but Lainey got car sick and threw up. Thankfully it was right as we turned on their street so we could get it all cleaned up immediately. But then Cambry ended up being sick and I got sick the next day. Poor Hollyn was sick too. We ended up leaving Saturday night around the girls' bedtime so they would sleep on the way home and there would not be any car sickness. Well there was a good amount of crying but we finally made it home. Sunday we were feeling much better. Best moment though was getting to swim at Michelle's parents' house kid free even though I was feeling sick. I don't think we made any baby prep progress this week.

What I miss: Feeling normal.

What I am Looking Forward to: I have the big anatomy scan in a week. Can't wait to see little boy!

Phoenix Trip

At the end of April we flew out to Phoenix to visit my sister's family. This was our first visit to see the Kimmels since they had moved to Arizona. We found the best deal on flights...although we had to fly out of Dallas. But it was very worth the drive there. The girls did really good traveling. Lainey got pretty squirmy on the plane but overall good.

The cousins had fun playing together and Cambry was introduced to Star Wars books. She still talks about them sometimes. Lainey was in love with Duma (the dog). She would not leave the dog alone and just loved to be licked all over the face. Gross.

Poor Cambry hurt her leg the first night we were there. We aren't even sure how. There was no major incident. I think she was just running playing in the house. She stopped walking on it. The next day she still wouldn't walk on it and was crying about it a lot so we took her to urgent care. They did x-rays and it was not broken but said it was a knee sprain. She ended up not walking on it for an entire week. It was so pitiful. Poor thing would just play in one spot forever and then ask to be carried to the table or to another room, etc. But she never seemed sad like she was missing out on anything. It did make for an interesting time at the airport on the way home though. Since neither girl could walk (Lainey hadn't learned to walk quite yet) and we only had the single stroller, it was a juggling act to transport 2 children, 2 car seats, 2 suitcases, and carry-on bags. And I was exhausted and nauseous. That was fun.

We drove to Sedona one day to do some hiking and it was so beautiful. How amazing is it that these 3 ginormous car seats fit in the back row of this Explorer so we could all ride together?!

Here are the preggo sisters! We are due about a week apart. We love to do things close together to make our parents nervous. Weddings were 5 months apart. Babies could possibly be days apart. Although my babies come late and she will have c-section so don't worry mom - you can make it to Phoenix and then back to Houston no prob.

We had a really fun time and the Kimmels were great hosts. I think this may need to be an annual thing.

Summer is Here

It is starting to feel like summer around here. We have had unusually rainy weather here in Texas. Basically it feels like it has rained all of May. But the forecast is finally getting sunny. And thankfully I am starting to slowly feel a little better and have been getting out of the house more.

I had to dress the girls in cute patriotic colors for Memorial Day.

Cambry had her first swim lesson last week. She was very scared to go in but ended up being brave for most of it. Hopefully she will want to go back again this week. We headed to Academy afterward so she could pick out a pair of swim goggles.

This is one of my favorite dresses. This was a hand-me-down from Hollyn. Cambry is 15 months in the picture and Lainey is 19 months. I don't think they look very similar but they both look adorable.
